1955 Ford Crown Vic Country Squire 6 Volt AM Radio Chrome Push Buttons

  
In 1955, this was the top-of-the line 5MF 8 model with chrome push buttons and chrome surround but more importantly, eight tubes instead of six. I was told all of the interior was stripped out when he painted and at that time gave the radio to a friend to have it serviced. I blew some dust off then opened it up to find it in amazing condition.

It is very clean and It appears that the original FoMoCo tubes are in place so I have no idea what the shop may or may not have done to it. The push buttons operate very smoothly swinging the dial to each pre-arranged station as does the station tuner knob. I used a 6 volt lantern battery and was only able to get the dial light to come on but, without an antenna or a large enough battery I was unable to test it.
