Chrome Steel: &###xA0;There are a lot of cheap chrome pulleys out there from Taiwan and China but if you are serious about building a high performance engine you should only consider billet aluminum. &###xA0;Chrome pulleys start out as a flat hockey puck of steel that is then rolled and pressed multiple times into the correct shape. &###xA0;This process is very cost effective but the end product is a part that isn't very well balanced. Chrome is also prone to slipping belts because the finish is actually too smooth and there is very little grip.
