The Flame-Thrower Billet distributors replace outdated points, electronic distributor, and bulky HEIs with a performance proven system. Simply install the distributor in the engine, connect two electrical wires, and start it up! For even more performance, consider adding a Flame-Thrower II coil for increased spark energy and higher RPM potential.

Each distributor is precision machined for an exact fit. Precision CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum housing is lightweight yet offers maximum strength. Upper ball bearing and extra long oil impregnated bronze lower bushing work together to reduce friction and high RPM vibration. High dielectric strength cap with brass terminals and premium rotor with brass contact. Synchronized peak current and spark timing reduces heat build-up. Ignitor II systems develop up to 4x times more energy between 3000 and 5000 RPM than standard ignition systems. High RPM performance is improved when used with the Flame-Thrower II super low resistance (0.6 ohms) 45,000 volt coil (available separately).

Adaptive dwell maintains peak energy throughout the entire RPM range, reducing misfires while improving engine performance. Develops on average 4 times more available energy between 3000 and 5000 RPM, and 2 times more available plug voltage. Peak current level is reached just prior to spark for maximum energy without the heat build-up, increasing coil and module life.

Adjusts spark timing at higher RPMs to compensate for the inherent electronic delay. Senses startup and develops more energy for quicker, easier starting.

Built in reverse polarity and over current protection shuts down the system, preventing component damage. Ideal for tight engine compartments; width (not including vac adv) 5.00", height from installed surface to cap top 7.66". Legal in all 50 states and Canada C. FALCON TECH NOTE : Ignitor II applications cannot be used with solid core ignition wires.

This listing is for a PerTronix Flame-Thrower Ignitor II "plug n play" billet distributor with vacuum advance for Ford 332ci, 352ci, 360ci, 361ci, 390ci, 427ci, and 428ci FE V-8 engines. This distributor comes with a socket-style (female) black cap. All Flame-Thrower distributors are for use with 12-volt, negative ground electrical systems; unless noted otherwise. Although these distributors fit their intended engine application, each vehicle application must be evaluated independently to insure proper fitment and clearance.
